Magnitone Pulsar Diary: Day 1

So as I mentioned previously, I've been given the fantastic opportunity to test and review the Magnitone Pulsar. It's a skin cleansing and toning brush system which claims to give you "smoother, tighter, more youthful skin" from as little as 7 days use. As I'm doing the seven day challenge, I thought I'd document my use everyday on my blog! I hope you enjoy reading my experiences and hopefully, if you are thinking of buying one, I can help you to decide whether or not it is for you.

I'm brand new to the whole cleansing brush game. If I'm completely honest, I'm so lazy with my skin that I usually do the bare minimum of removing my makeup with a wipe before bed. I dabble from time to time with different cleansers, toners, moisturisers, facial washes etc because I suffer with breakouts of painful acne, but when my face is clearer I revert back to my shameful ways. From the off I am going to be completely honest and say that the Magnitone Pulsar is going to have to do something amazing to my skin if I am to become a regular user, purely because of my laziness.

I'm hoping that the Magnitone Pulsar will:
  • reduce the size of the pores on my nose, which are huge and visible
  • reduce the amount of acne breakouts that I get
  • make my skin less dull looking in general
I opened up my new toy with lots of excitement and anticipation yesterday, and dutifully put it on charge for 15 hours as required before use (once I'd worked out which way around I needed to place it in the charging stand. For a good few minutes I was convinced it didn't work, but I just had it round the wrong way!)

This evening, fully charged, armed with a new cleansing wash, I was ready to go! I applied my cleanser to the brush and used it on my face which I had rinsed with warm water before hand. At first I found that it felt like the brush was scratching at my skin, but I made sure the brush was also wet, and then it felt fine. By fine, I really mean a little strange! It's nothing like my face has experienced before, that's for sure! But once I had finished the recommended 1 minute of use, and dried my face, my skin felt lovely and smooth. As you can imagine, I've probably not exfoliated my face in a very long time!

After the first use, I am very interested to see what happens over the next six days! I used a makeup wipe to remove most of my makeup before cleansing, but after use, the brush was stained with foundation, so it definitely helped to clean my face far more than it would usually be! I will use it twice tomorrow, once in the morning and once in the evening, and also once on my arms and legs in the shower. I will make sure to update you all!

  1. Hey Sian! I'm visiting from bloggerforums.co.uk - good luck with your new blog. Feel free to ask any questions if you have any!

This product seems cool, the thought of the brush on my skin kind of makes me cringe a little bit though! Let us know how it goes.
